Job Description

Media24 Lifestyle channel seeks to appoint a digital marketing manager to manage the development and delivery of a integrated marketing strategy for its own and third-party channels and to grow the business by leveraging market and audience insights. The successful candidate will be responsible for brand positioning and be the key voice in assuring marketing, publicity, partner marketing and digital marketing all speak with one voice. He/she will report to the channel head.

 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a digital marketing strategy which includes the website, social media, e-mail marketing, search engine marketing, display advertising, affiliate programs, and other online marketing initiatives.
  • Work with the channel head to develop a clearly defined marketing strategy that is focused on delivering against the key marketing objectives
  • Devise, implement, track, optimise and report on integrated marketing initiatives
  • Guide the day to day activities of the marketing team
  • Manage and brief agencies, creative teams and designers and ensure they deliver to brief and contractual deliverables
  • Do advertising planning, booking, monitoring of placements and determining of value
  • Continuously monitor and report on the success of the marketing and communication
  • Support the online and social media strategy and ensure set targets are met
  • Ensure effective management and recon of all marketing elements as part of barters and sponsorships
  • Develop strong relationships with production companies and other role players
  • Work with the content team, enabling them to meet their channel objectives by providing campaigns, events, digital marketing, and PR that meets business results
  • Work with Business Intelligence to track key performance indicators and, based on analysis, report on performance and trends
  • Develop and manage all digital customer lifecycle communications
  • Oversee special projects and competitions
  • Provide key insights on competitor online activities and strategies
  • Keep the company at the forefront of developments in digital marketing by providing strong leadership and by staying abreast of latest developments and trends
  • Support associate development of direct reports and team members
  • Provide opportunities for associates to take ownership of initiatives and coaching to successful completion.

Qualification

Degree in communication, marketing, branding or equivalent qualification.

 

 

Experience

Minimum 5 - 8 years of marketing/brand management experience.

Experience working in a marketing management role.

 

E-commerce experience.

 

Prior knowledge

Must have knowledge of marketing and communications, preferably in the media and TV space.

Must have knowledge of local and international content.

Good technical understanding and knowledge of the South African internet landscape.

 

 

An understanding of the entertainment and television industry, as well as insights into the target market.

In-depth knowledge and understanding of digital marketing channels – particularly SEM, content targeting, CPM based campaigns, and affiliate strategies

 

 

 

Media24 Leefstylkanaal is op soek na ’n digitale bemarkingsbestuurder vir die ontwikkeling en implementering van ’n geïntegreerde bemarkingstrategie vir sy eie en derde-party-kanale en om die besigheid te laat groei deur kennis van die mark en gehoor te benut. Die suksesvolle kandidaat sal verantwoordelik wees vir die posisionering van die handelsmerk en sal sorg dat bemarking, publisiteit, vennootbemarking en digitale bemarking almal met dieselfde stem praat. Die persoon sal aan die kanaalhoof rapporteer.

 

 

Sleutelverantwoordelikhede:

  • Ontwikkel en implementeer ’n digitale bemarkingstrategie wat insluit die webwerf, sosiale media, e-pos-bemarking, soekenjin-bemarking, vertoon-advertensies, geaffilieerde programme en ander aanlyn bemarkingsprojekte.
  • Werk saam met die kanaalhoof om ’n duidelik gedefinieerde bemarkingstrategie te ontwikkel wat fokus op die belangrikste bemarkingsdoelwitte.
  • Beplan, implementeer en verbeter geïntegreerde bemarkingsprojekte en doen verslag hieroor.
  • Lei die daaglikse aktiwiteite van die bemarkingspan.
  • Bestuur en gee opdragte aan agentskappe, kreatiewe spanne en ontwerpers en maak seker hulle voer opdragte volgens kontrak uit.
  • Doen advertensiebeplanning, -besprekings, -monitering en -waardebepaling.
  • Monitor en rapporteer deurlopend die sukses van die bemarking en kommunikasie.
  • Ondersteun die aanlyn en sosiale-media-strategie en maak seker doelwitte word bereik.
  • Verseker dat alle bemarkingselemente rakende ooreenkomste en borgskappe doeltreffend bestuur word.
  • Bou sterk verhoudings met produksiemaatskappye en ander rolspelers.
  • Werk saam met die inhoudspan en stel hulle in staat om hul doelwitte te bereik deur veldtogte, digitale bemarking en PR aan hulle te verskaf.
  • Werk met besigheidsanaliste om sleutel prestasie-areas te monitor en te rapporteer op prestasie en tendense.
  • Ontwikkel en bestuur alle digitale lewensiklus kommunikasie
  • Hou toesig oor spesiale projekte en kompetisies.
  • Verskaf inligting oor mededingers se aanlyn aktiwiteite en strategieë
  • Bly op die voorpunt met die jongste ontwikkelings in die wêreld van digitale bemarking en ondersoek nuwe tegnologie.
  • Verskaf geleenthede aan medewerkers om projekte suksesvol te voltooi.

Graad in kommunikasie, bemarking of ’n soortgelyke kwalifikasie.

 

 

Ervaring

Minstens 5 - 8 jaar ervaring van bemarking/handelsmerkbestuur.

Ervaring van bemarkingsbestuur.

Moet kennis hê van bemarking en kommunikasie, verkieslik in die media- en TV-wêreld.

Moet kennis hê van plaaslike en internasionale inhoud.

Moet goeie tegniese begrip en kennis hê van die Suid-Afrikaanse internetlandskap.

 

 

E-handel-ervaring.

 

Begrip van die vermaak- en TV-bedryf sowel as die teikenmark. Dieptekennis en begrip van digitale bemarkingskanale, veral SEM, fokus op inhoud, CPM-veldtogte en geaffilieerde strategieë.
